Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong this summer, but Arne Slot is about to add a second player to the ranks of the Anfield club.
The Reds are set to undertake their most ambitious transfer window ever, despite winning the Premier League last season. Slot’s men have splashed out €40 million to sign the Bayer Leverkusen full-back, but there’s much more to come.
Florian Wirtz is expected to arrive from the Bundesliga giants for a potential Premier League record fee, but first Milos Kerkez is set to hook up with the Merseysiders from Bournemouth.

Rudy Galetti reports that the finishing touches are being put to the deal.
“Liverpool are taking the last steps for Milos Kerkez,” he reports on X.
“The deal is almost sealed between Liverpool and Bournemouth for ~€50m plus performance-related bonuses as a final fee.
“A five-year contract was already agreed upon with the player days ago.”
Wirtz to follow Kerkez and Frimpong
The 21-year-old Kerkez was one of the breakout stars in the Premier League last season as he enjoyed ever-present status for Bournemouth in the competition.
He showed himself to be a capable threat offensively by chipping in two goals and six assists, suggesting that he is well placed to seriously challenge Andrew Robertson for a regular starting spot at Anfield. With Frimpong also joining, it could well be all change for Liverpool in the full-back areas.
Indeed, Kerkez’s €50m transfer tag actually comes in below FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), which lands at €61.5m. This suggests that the Reds are getting strong value for the player, who has also caught the attention of Real Madrid this summer.
With this deal close to fruition, thoughts will begin to turn towards Wirtz, whose deal from Leverkusen is expected to cost €130m or more.
Once he is signed along with Frimpong and Kerkez, Liverpool will have splashed out approximately €220m, making them the pace-setters when it comes to transfer spending this summer.
