Chelsea summer transfers 2025: Every signing, sale and loan as Gittens talks intensify

Chelsea have already completed numerous transfers so far this summer and their spending is set to continue as they supercharge their pursuit of the best wonderkids in world football.
The Blues have spent over €1.3 billion on signings since the arrival of Clearlake Capital as their new owners in 2022, yet they remain one of the most active clubs in the market as they bid to bolster the squad at Enzo Maresca’s disposal.
The Blues are preparing for their first Champions League campaign since 2022-23, although the majority of their business has once again centred around signing young players, rather than experienced stars capable of performing at the highest level straight away.
Last summer, Chelsea signed the likes of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, in addition to youngsters such as Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman, while they sold Conor Gallagher, Romelu Lukaku, Ian Maatsen and several others.
This year, Chelsea have already confirmed the arrivals of Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez. Eight players have departed the club, including Bashir Humphreys and Marcus Bettinelli.

Chelsea’s potential incomings and outgoings
Chelsea are targeting several high-profile additions during the 2025 summer transfer window, with the club determined to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro have been lined up as potential striker targets, despite the recent arrival of the aforementioned Delap, but the Blues have seemingly ended their interest in Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho, Nico Williams and Jamie Gittens have been Chelsea’s three primary left winger targets for months, although the latter has now emerged as the most likely candidate to secure a Stamford Bridge switch.
The England youngster has set his sights on joining Chelsea this summer, as per multiple reports, but the Blues are yet to finalise a deal with Borussia Dortmund. Talks are expected to intensify following the 2025 Club World Cup.

The club are also eager to land a new central defender and have shortlisted Marc Guehi, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jorrel Hato as possible options. However, rumours of a new centre-back being signed have died down in recent weeks.
In addition, Chelsea recently approached AC Milan over a potential deal for Mike Maignan, but they were unwilling to match his €30m asking price and negotiations have stalled for now.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will sell a host of players this summer as they look to trim down their first-team squad.
Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling, Carney Chukwuemeka, Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Alfie Gilchrist and Felix are all expected to be sold permanently following loan spells away from the club in 2024-25.
Christopher Nkunku, Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah, Noni Madueke and Dewsbury-Hall could depart too amid a squad overhaul in west London.
