Arsenal are reportedly considering adding another winger to their squad to lighten the burden on Bukayo Saka.

Saka managed to play just 20 minutes of the Gunners' Champions League defeat at the hands of Lens midweek before he was forced to limp off the field.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta later confirmed that the England international had suffered a muscular injury and admitted he was a doubt to take on Manchester City's in Sunday's crunch Premier League clash.

Keeping Saka fit will be key to the club's hopes of fighting on multiple fronts this season, and they may well add more depth in order to lessen his exertions over the course of the campaign.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have refloated their interest in Wolves' Pedro Neto, who plays a similar position to Saka and would allow Arteta to rotate his young star to a higher degree.

Neto has enjoyed a good run of form at the start of the 2023-24 season and could cost up to £50 million should the Gunners make a move.

"Things are going to happen in 2024 with Pedro Neto. Wolves were able to say no to proposals in the summer, but between January and summer, let’s see what happens," Romano claimed on his Youtube channel.

"We will see what happens. In 2024 clubs will arrive. Arsenal wanted Neto a year and a half ago, and they keep tracking the player, they are keeping an eye on Neto, but there are other clubs following the situation.

"There is interest, things can happen, clubs know he is very good and probably underrated. Keep an eye on Neto because at the moment nothing is concrete, but Arsenal interest is there and other clubs are following this fantastic Portuguese winger."
