Liverpool snubbed by Caicedo and Lavia

In the last few days they have been rejected by Moises Caicedo, who left Brighton for Chelsea for a British record fee.

They were also snubbed by Romeo Lavia, who is also set to join Chelsea - this time from Southampton.

Liverpool have revolutionised their central midfield this summer, losing a host of players such as Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and James Milner. They have signed Dominik Szobozslai and Alexis MacAllister but desperately need more bodies in the position.

Liverpool started the season on Sunday with a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in the Premier League.

In this game it was apparent just how in need Liverpool are for central midfielders.

Liverpool have also been linked with PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare in recent days.
