Everton remain on the lookout for a winger and centre-back and will look to utilise either loans or instalments to bring new recruits in, FootballTransfers has learned.

Sean Dyche is keen on either Kamaldeen Sulemana of Southampton or LeedsLuis Sinisterra as new additions for the flanks, while their search for a central defender remains open.

Sulemana’s representatives are hoping for a Premier League move before the window closes, we are told, though the relationship between Southampton and Everton is fractious, as the southern coast club feel that the Toffees unsettled Che Adams during their pursuit of the striker.

The club were closing in on Adams after a £15m fee was accepted, but the structure of the payments was not agreed with Southampton so the side went for Beto instead, signing the Portuguese centre-forward for £25.8 million from Serie A club Udinese.

Interest is in Danny Ings but the striker would rather remain with West Ham and fight for his place, especially with the Saudi Pro League’s interest in Michail Antonio.

Gray move to Pro League held-up

Everton had been expecting a cash windfall via the sale of Demarai Gray, but this has not been the case and the player remains.

Gray had everything agreed for Saudi club Al Shabab but the club’s new board meant that a deal was brought to a halt. It is not clear whether they will sanction a move for the winger. Gray also had talks with Crystal Palace and Fulham over a move as well.

As previously revealed, Wilfried Gnonto looks set to stay at Leeds barring any late changes, with his side knocking back numerous bids from Everton throughout the window.
