Iniesta talks up sensational return to Barcelona

Andres Iniesta has opened the door to a sensational return to Barcelona after admitting that he would love to move back to his former club.
Iniesta will go down as one of the greatest players in the history of Barcelona, having been part of the golden generation that dominated European and Spanish football.

Having graduated from La Masia, Iniesta would go on to make 674 appearances over 16 years in the senior team, winning nine La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
He left Barcelona in 2018 to join Vissel Kobe and his contract with the Japanese club expires in 2023 having signed a new deal last year.
Despite being set to turn 38 in May, Iniesta is still performing well and he says he would like to return to Barcelona.
What did Iniesta say?
“I would love to return to Barcelona," Iniesta told Gerard Romeo on Twitch. "I would like to help the institution. There are many variables involved and it is difficult to know what will happen in the future.
“Barca is my home and I couldn’t be anywhere better than there. Today I like to think a lot about playing. That’s what fascinates me the most today."
Barcelona already re-signed one legendary veteran this season in Dani Alves.
And president Joan Laporta admitted a few months ago that it is possible two more in Lionel Messi and Iniesta could also follow Dani Alves in moving back to Camp Nou.
“I don’t rule anything out. It happened with Dani - age is [just] a number," said Laporta. "They’re two great players.
"I can’t predict what will happen tomorrow, they’re still playing and contracted to other clubs.
"You never know what happens in life."
