Christian Eriksen will leave Inter in January – Marotta

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Christian Eriksen will leave the club in January.
It is not even a year since the Italians struck a cut-price £16.9m for the midfielder as he neared the end of his contract with Tottenham.
However, Eriksen has struggled to make an impact in Serie A in the 11 months since, largely due to his failure to convince head coach Antonio Conte of his value.
As such, the Dane looks set for a mid-season move for the second campaign running.
Marotta told Sky Sport: “Yes, I can confirm that Christian Eriksen is on the transfer list. He’s going to leave in January.
“He’s not functional to our plans and he had difficulty here at Inter.”
Eriksen has scored just four goals in 37 appearances for Inter in all competitions, with only one of those coming in the Italian top-flight.
The 28-year-old was infinitely more influential at Spurs, becoming a key man in a Mauricio Pochettino team that reached the Champions League final in the year before his departure.
Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal have recently been linked with a move for Eriksen.
