Man Utd 10-8 Real Madrid: Which club has the most players at Euro 2020?

It seems as though football has been a constant over the last 12 months without much of a break, and there isn't too much time for a breather in the summer either due to the upcoming European Championship.

Euro 2020 was initially meant to take place last year only to be postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

The rescheduled tournament starts on Friday 11 June and lasts until Sunday 11 July, with star players from across Europe taking part.

As always, the elite clubs from around the continent will be well-represented.

But, which super club has the most players at Euro 2020?

Ten players at Euro 2020

Manchester United did have 11 players at the tournament before Donny van de Beek was ruled out with injury for the Netherlands. Man Utd have plenty of English players heading for the Euros like captain Harry Maguire, while the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba will be hoping to go far with Portugal and France respectively.

Borussia Dortmund have a healthy blend here, with Englishmen like Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham alongside a Belgian contingent of Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier. There is, of course, representation for Germany too.

Borussia Monchengladbach interestingly have more players featuring for Switzerland than Germany, with Yann Sommer, Nico Elvedi, Denis Zakaria and Breel Embolo all set to play for the Swiss.

Eleven players at Euro 2020

Dynamo Kyiv have contributed 11 players to the Euros with 10 going to their domestic nation of Ukraine, while Tomasz Kedziora will feature for Poland.

Twelve players at Euro 2020

Juventus have four Italians going to the Euros as their biggest group, and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo will be captaining Portugal.

It is no surprise that two of the richest clubs on earth are the two best-represented clubs at the Euros.

Though that is perhaps being unfair as Manchester City and Chelsea did contest the recent Champions League final so it would make sense that they have the highest amount of elite players currently.

Real Madrid are noted for having no Spanish players in the squad for the European Championship, which is the first time in history that has happened.

They are still represented by the same amount of players as rivals Barcelona, however.

Clasico rivals Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema should start together for France.

PSG may be one of the richest clubs in the world but with a few South Americans scattered in their squad they are down at six with Kylian Mbappe leading the contingent.

Atalanta have been the scourge of many teams in Italy and in Europe across the last few seasons and the job they do in Bergamo could be highlighted by the fact La Dea have more players going to the Euros than Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter, Milan, Napoli, Arsenal and Tottenham.
