Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of football’s biggest stars, and he knows it. The forward is one of the most outspoken characters in the sport, with his autobiography even called ‘I Am Zlatan.’ The Swedish legend often describes himself as a lion and his personality certainly divides opinion.

However, his talent can’t be denied. Ibrahimovic started his career in his native Sweden, playing for Malmo. He now has a statue outside their stadium, which was unveiled in 2019, but it has been vandalised by fans several times.

After leaving Malmo, Ibrahimovic bounced around Europe’s biggest clubs. He has played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG, Manchester United and LA Galaxy, before returning for a second spell at Milan in 2020.

His combined transfer fees total up to over €170 million in his career, with his move to Barcelona a club record fee for the Blaugrana. Not only that, but they lost Samuel Eto’o in the deal and Ibrahimovic also fell out with manager Pep Guardiola. He did, however, win La Liga in his only season at the Camp Nou. That was one of 33 trophies Ibrahimovic won during his career, although the two Serie A titles he won at Juventus were revoked due to Calciopoli.

Ibrahimovic was also nominated for the Ballon d’Or 11 times, but never made the podium. His best ever finish in the award was fourth place in 2013, when he was at PSG.

With over 450 career goals, Ibrahimovic has had a truly illustrious career on the pitch, and it’s led to a very financially beneficial off-the-pitch lifestyle. FootballTransfers provides all the details below.
