Monaco have been a successful breeding ground for some of Europe’s most talented young players over the course of the last five years.

Fabinho, Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe are just three of the players to have passed through the club to reach the very top.

Now Myron Boadu is hoping to follow in their footsteps after making a high-profile 2021 move to the club from AZ after several top European teams were associated with him for a long period beforehand.

What position does Myron Boadu play?

Myron Boadu is typically a centre forward. He typically behaves as a pressing forward.

He can, however, play anywhere across the forward line.

How good is Myron Boadu?

Boadu has had a slow start to life in France but has shown much promise with AZ, scoring 38 goals and creating another 18 in just 88 appearances.

Such form helped him to earn interest from many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Milan and Tottenham.

Indeed, had it not been for the Covid-19 pandemic, he might well have had his big break quicker.

During the summer of 2021, he impressed at the U21 European Championship, notably scoring two goals in the quarter-final victory over red-hot favourites France.

With AZ, he was noted as a strong finisher and regularly got into good areas. He has yet to settle into the Monaco side similarly but has produced impressive defensive numbers, which shows that he can still contribute to a team even when he is not at his best.
