FIFA 22: The 20 players with the highest career mode potential

Kylian Mbappe is the player with the highest potential rating in Career Mode in FIFA 22, with the Paris Saint-Germain forward receiving a potential rating of 95.

Within FIFA's career mode, users are able to take management over a club and pick the team, buy and sell players, deal with player contracts as well as actually taking control of the team during a game.

It is the only mode within FIFA in which players age, and with that means some players will drift out of their prime, while others will enter their prime.

New superstars will emerge, while the current superstars, such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, will retire.

Mbappe has an overall rating of 91 at the start of the game but has a potential rating of 95 which would make him the best player in career mode.

There are two players with a potential rating of 93 - Gianluigi Donnarumma of Paris Saint-Germain and Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.

Next come two players based in the Premier League.

Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold has a current rating of 87 which can develop into 92, while Manchester City's Phil Foden has an overall rating of 84 which can evolve into a 92 also.

The player within the top 20 who could enjoy the biggest potential jump from current rating to future rating is Barcelona's Ansu Fati, who begins on a 76 but has a potential rating of 90.

All of these players can be purchased on Career Mode.
