Kylian Mbappé's future in France's Ligue 1 continues to be uncertain, but he also continues to be the league's most highly valued player at €152.5 million.

Alongside Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, Mbappe is arguably the most wanted player on the transfer market in world football and this is reflected in his high valuation.

FootballTransfers' valuations are calculated in collaboration with SciSports, a world-leading football analytics agency that assesses the relative transfer valuations of over 60,000 professional footballers worldwide. SciSports use multiple data points, including current and potential ability, contract length, form, age, and other crucial factors.

Mbappe, who is the highest valued player in the world, leads PSG teammate Neymar by more than €60m, but the Brazilian forward sits in second place at €90.1m.

Not surprisingly, the top seven places in the list are all occupied by PSG players. Third and fourth places are respectively filled by Marquinhos at €81.6m and Achraf Hakimi at €64.4m.

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Yashin Award winner for 2021, comes in fifth at €58.9m.

Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, meanwhile, is not in the top five. He is rated at €44.6m, although his age drives his value down.

The final PSG players in the top 10 are Marco Verratti and Gini Wijnaldum, who are worth around €436.6m and 36.2m respectively.

Current Ligue 1 champions Lille have a couple of players sneaking into the list, the first of which is in-form striker Jonathan David.

His goals helped Lille end PSG's dominance of Ligue 1 last season, and he does the same on this list, with his €41.3 valuation putting him eighth on the list.

Team-mate Sven Botman is one of only two defenders on this chart and is listed at €40.8m.

The Dutchman moved to France from Ajax in July 2020 and, remarkably, is yet to earn a full international cap for the Netherlands.

But at just 21-years-old, the ball-playing defender has a big footballing future ahead.
