Premier League giants Chelsea have repeatedly flexed their financial muscle ever since the takeover of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.

The Blues have become a powerhouse in English and European football, winning two Champions League titles and two Premier League titles in the last nine years.

With this success has come the trading of some of the world’s most expensive footballers, typified by the club-record deal to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The summer before that, the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell all joined for large transfer fees as Chelsea looked to return to the summit of the English top flight.

But just how valuable are Chelsea’s star players?

FootballTransfers' transfer valuations are calculated in collaboration with SciSports, a world-leading football analytics agency that assesses the relative transfer valuations of over 60,000 professional footballers worldwide.

SciSports use multiple data points including current and potential ability, contract length, form, age, and other crucial factors.

Using this data we have compiled the figures of the value of every Chelsea squad player.

Lukaku is the most valuable player in the Chelsea squad at €92 million, a figure that also makes him the most valuable player in the entire Premier League.

Mason Mount has a valuation of €80m, which is second highest. The Englishman assisted the goal that won Chelsea the Champions League in the 2020-21 season, and at 23 years of age has a big future ahead of him in London.

Transfer value of Chelsea attackers

Romelu Lukaku: €92m

Kai Havertz: €72m

Timo Werner: €55m

Callum Hudson-Odoi: €46m

Christian Pulisic: €41m

Hakim Ziyech: €27m

Other highly valuable players at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal include Christian Pulisic and Reece James, at €21m and €47m respectively.

The former has struggled for fitness for much of his Chelsea career but has a very high ceiling for development, while James has been was superb form from right wing-back.

Ben Chilwell has a value of €40m, while Saul Niguez’s valuation of €27m is not matching his performances as he struggles on loan from Atletico Madrid.

All of Chelsea’s attackers are valued at over €25m, while young talents like Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr should hopefully see their valuations increase in the coming seasons.

Edouard Mendy has become one of the best goalkeepers in the game and is valued at €31m.

Antonio Rudiger is only valued at €30m as his contract reaches its expiry this summer, while Cesar Azpilicueta (€8m) and Thiago Silva (€12m) have comparatively low valuations as they get further away from their prime at 32 and 37 years old respectively.
