FIFA 23 wonderkids: Top 30 youngsters on the game

Barcelona and Spain midfielder Pedri has the highest potential of any youngster in FIFA 23, with the former Las Palmas star able to reach a 92 rating on career mode.

On career mode, one of the most popular game modes on EA Sports' popular video game, players are given their base rating (as seen on Kick-Off and Ultimate Team) and a potential rating given their possible projected career rise.

As a result, young players can be signed for cheap due to their low base rating but have the potential to reach a high rating.

Of players aged 21 or under, Barcelona and Spain star Pedri is the player with the highest potential rating in FIFA 23. The midfielder's original card is 85, which is incidentally also the highest of any youngster in the game, but he has the potential to reach a huge 92 rating. Pedri has been given a plus four base rating from his 81 rated FIFA 22 card after a breakout season last year.

Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz is only rated 82, but his potential rating is a huge 91, joint with fellow Bundesliga star Jude Bellingham. The England international's base rating is 84, but he can also reach 91 rated on career mode, just like Wirtz.

Next up is Jamal Musiala and Ansu Fati, both of whom have the potential to reach 90 rated. Musiala starts as an 81 rated card, after receiving a massive upgrade from his 75 rated FIFA 22 card, while Fati starts as a 79 rated card after

Five players aged 21 or under have the potential to become 89 rated cards. They are: Alphonso Davies, Bukayo Saka, Josko Gvardiol, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ryan Gravenberch.

Saka's Arsenal team-mate Gabriel Martinelli is only rated 78 in FIFA 23, but he has the potential to reach 88 rated in career mode. Real Madrid's Rodrygo, Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes, and Lyon's Rayan Cherki also have the potential to reach 88.

William Saliba and Borussia Dortmund starlet Youssoufa Moukoko have the potential to reach 87 rated on career mode.
