Ferran Torres tips Pedri to become best in the world

Ferran Torres has tipped fellow Barcelona team-mate Pedri to become the best in the world in the coming years after a stellar month.
The 19-year-old midfielder enjoyed a positive March, and continued his form against Sevilla, scoring a fine winner at the Camp Nou last weekend.
With that in mind, his team-mate Torres has tipped him for big things in the future.
“We train with him every day and we are surprised with his quality and humility,” Torres said. “He can surely be the best player in the world in the future.”
Torres moved to Barcelona in January from Manchester City in a move that could cost up to €60 million and has impressed in his first few months at the club.

Xavi has had a big impact
The forward scored four goals and assisted twice in March and says the impact of coach Xavi has been big on his time so far.
“Xavi has given me full confidence since the beginning and has been important for my adaptation to the team,” he said.
“Xavi has brought his ‘Barça DNA’, leadership and humility to the team. It gives us confidence rather than pressure and we players appreciate that.”
“More than scoring, it’s about being involved in the game and providing assists. It’s about being there for the team.”
Torres was speaking ahead of Barcelona’s Europa League quarter-final first leg against Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Catalan club beat Napoli and Galatasaray to get to this point, and Torres said his team is confident of going all the way in the competition.
“It’s exciting to be here in a new city and face Frankfurt. They are a good team and will cause difficulties to us, but we will focus on our game.”
“We have to go out, be humble, and work hard for the win. We will do everything we can to win the Europa League.”
In addition to the Europa League, Barcelona currently sit second in LaLiga – a stark rise from ninth, which is where they were when Xavi took over as head coach in November.
