We’re now at the end of the winter transfer window in Europe.

It was an incredible month with a chaotic Deadline Day in which Europe's biggest clubs made some truly massive deals.

We saw Juventus make the biggest Serie A January transfer in history and Man City make their biggest January sale ever.

But who were the 10 most expensive signings of the 2022 January transfer window?

The biggest signings of the January window

To no great surprise, at the top of the list we have none other than Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has made the move from the Florence side to Juventus in a deal that could end up topping €80 million.

The Serbian striker’s remarkable move went straight to the top of the list and is above Colombian wing wizard Luis Diaz, who left Porto for Liverpool in a deal that could eventually reach €60m.

This signing ensured that another key forward moved down to third in the form of Ferran Torres, who made the move from Manchester City to Barcelona for no less than €55m

In fourth we have Bruno Guimaraes, who made a shock big-money switch to Newcastle for a fee that could come to €50m.

In fifth, we have Lucas Digne, who made the move from Everton to Aston Villa for a sizable sum of around €30m after making it clear that he no longer wanted to play for the Merseyside club.

Alongside Digne is new Newcastle striker Chris Woods, who became a €30m striker seemingly overnight when the Premier League side realised how desperate they were for a new striker and bought out the Burnley forward's release clause.

In seventh we have one of Tottenham's two big signings from Juventus in the form of Uruguayan centre midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, who has arrived for an eventual fee of €25m.

Next up we have a relatively unknown quality in the form of left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko, who made the move from Dynamo Kiev to Everton. The 22-year-old defender is widely regarded as a long-term replacement to Digne.

Jeremie Boga is in ninth after making a €22m move to Atalanta from another Serie A side in Sassuolo.

In tenth place we have Argentine wonderkid Julian Alvarez, who moved from River Plate to Man City for just €18.5m - although he will remain on loan in his birth nation until the end of the season.
