Bayern Munich, like most Bundesliga sides, often prefer to have a quiet January transfer window if it can be helped.

However, while the Bavarian giants have little interest in spending money this month, that shouldn’t rule out the prospect of them raising some funds by selling some unwanted squad players in the weeks ahead.

There are a number of players that Bayern may be open to selling in the January window if the right offer arrives.

Niklas Sule

One of the main players at Bayern that could move on this month is central defender Niklas Sule, whose contract at the club has now entered its final six months. As such, the player can now speak to other clubs.

Sule has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the past - most notably Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur - but rumours have died down as we’ve approached the January window. It remains to be seen whether the player will accept a new deal or move on in the summer.

Bouna Sarr

One player that Bayern will be more than happy to see the back of is undoubtedly Bouna Sarr, who remains a tragic figure in Nagelsmann’s side.

Signed during Hansi Flick’s time at the club, the former Marseille defender has struggled to prove his worth under successive managers and very rarely looked the part when he has been afforded game time. A return to France would undoubtedly suit both parties this month.

Marc Roca

There were high hopes for Marc Roca when he joined Bayern in 2020 but those aspirations have slowly but surely fallen by the wayside as the Spaniard has proven to be little more than a useful back-up player.

Roca will likely stay put in January as Bayern deal with an injury crisis but the player will have high hopes of picking up regular game time elsewhere next season. That could quickly change if a big offer came in for him in the coming weeks.

Corentin Tolisso

Another Bayern player whose contract is coming dangerously close to its end is Corentin Tolisso.

The France international is an exceptional player on his day but a regular run of injuries has undoubtedly derailed his hopes of establishing himself as a first team regular at Bayern.

With no hope of usurping Joshua Kimmich or Leon Goretzka, Tolisso will leave for certain in the summer or potentially sooner if an offer comes in this month.

Kingsley Coman

Kingsley Coman’s contract doesn’t expire at Bayern until 2023, but much of this season’s rumour mill has been dominated by the player’s future at the club.

According to reports in Germany, the France international is demanding to have his salary increased to match the highest earners at the club. Bayern’s board aren’t comfortable with that idea, so reports of interest from England have flourished as a result.

However, with no genuine interest from England to speak of, Coman has quietly got on with his business on the pitch and is likely to sign a new deal when the time comes. Unless, of course, the deep pockets of some of England’s biggest clubs force his and Bayern’s hand this month.
