Inter striker Lautaro Martinez remains one of the hottest properties in the transfer market following his exploits for the Nerazzurri over the last couple of years.
The Argentine has emerged as one of the major stars of Italian football and helped Inter win their first Scudetto in over a decade in the 2020/21 season.
A reliable goalscorer and a creative force in the final third, he has scored 16 goals in 32 starts in all competitions this campaign.

Last summer, Martinez was the subject of interest from Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, but that interest has cooled over the past year, with the Clasico duo focusing on other targets like Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
In that same summer, Inter were forced to sell two key players in Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi in order to ease their financial worries, and it was the lack of investment in the playing squad that saw Antonio Conte leave his post as head coach.
Inter remain in financial turmoil, €700 million in debt, and they may indeed need to cash in on Martinez while he retains a high value.
His agent, Alejandro Camano, was asked about Martinez's future recently and told FCInterNews:
“Lautaro doesn’t think about himself, he only thinks about Inter.
“He wants to help and wants fans to be happy. Inter haven’t scored many goals lately, but it’s just a process and will return to scoring, that’s for sure.
“Lautaro wants Inter to win, he is not interested in personal success. We must remain calm because Lautaro is happy at Inter and is happy with Inter fans.”
Arsenal and Liverpool have been strongly linked with the centre-forward, as the former are desperate for a world-class striker for the summer, while the latter might be looking for a replacement for Roberto Firmino.
Most recently, Calciomercato have reported that Atletico Madrid are actually leading the race for his signature.
