Inter Milan have set their asking price for star forward Lautaro Martinez as transfer speculation surrounding his future builds.

Lautaro, 24, joined Inter from Racing Club in his native Argentina in 2018, but could become the Nerazzurri's second major forward sale in two years following Romelu Lukaku's departure from the Italian giants in 2021.

Lukaku re-signed for Chelsea and he could be joined in the Premier League by his former strike partner Lautaro.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal have expressed an interest in the Inter forward, who still has four years left on his contract at the San Siro.

Lautaro has scored 20 goals in all competitions for Inter this season, and this goal-scoring form has caught the eye of sides from across Europe.

What clubs are interested in Lautaro Martinez?

Although he may help Inter to their second consecutive Serie A title, there are plenty of reports suggesting it will be Lautaro's last season at the club as he looks for a new adventure.

Barcelona have been linked with the forward for several years and have re-joined the race according to Sport. Despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's form at the Camp Nou since arriving, Xavi wants more options in his forward line and Lautaro has been linked as a result.

Atletico Madrid also hold a strong interest in the player, with Diego Simeone keen to sign either Lautaro or Benfica forward Darwin Nunez, according to Mundo Deportivo.

FootballTransfers also exclusively reported that Tottenham have joined the race for Lautaro as the club look to bolster the options in the number nine position given the reliance on Harry Kane.

Liverpool and Arsenal are two other names who hold an interest in the 24-year-old. However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, Lautaro only wants to join an elite European club. That has reportedly ruled out Arsenal and Atletico, with Lautaro set on joining a side with the calibre such as Liverpool, Manchester City or Bayern Munich.

How much do Inter want for Lautaro Martinez?

It was believed that Inter had set an asking price of €70 million for the Argentina international, but that's now been altered according to Tuttosport.

They report that while a bid of €70m may pique Inter's interest, they want closer to €80m for Lautaro.

With four years left on his contract following the best goal-scoring season of his career and it being one season after losing Lukaku, it's perhaps not surprising to see Inter want maximum value for Lautaro.

However, they could even ask for more money. FootballTransfers currently value the Inter forward at €90.3m given his talent and the length of his contract at Inter.
