RB Leipzig striker not interested in Everton or West Ham move

RB Leipzig striker Hee-chan Hwang has ruled out a departure from the Bundesliga club this summer, despite a difficult start in Germany.
The South Korea international made the move to Leipzig from RB Salzburg last summer for a reported fee of around €10 million.

However, after struggling for fitness after contracting COVID, Hwang managed just three goals in 26 appearances for the Bundesliga side last season.
Despite that, the forward has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with Everton, West Ham and Brighton all linked with a potential bid for the striker this summer.
Yet Hwang is instead far more interested in earning his spot at Leipzig and believes he could be afforded a second chance under new head coach Jesse Marsch, who he played under in Austria.
'Yes I'm staying - that's what I want!'
“Yes, I'm staying! At least that's what I want,” said the RB Leipzig striker in an interview with BILD.
“Jesse (Marsch) also told me that he is planning for me for the coming season and that we both have a new challenge that we should enjoy together.”
At the Salzburg club, Hwang bagged no less than 45 goals and 29 assists in just 126 games and earned his reputation as a reliable goalscorer and playmaker.
And the forward now hopes to regain that former form under Marsch at Leipzig this season.
“He knows me, I know him. Jesse knows what he's got in me,” said the South Korean talent.
“His system with the many vertical passes suits me very well, my start, my speed. When it became clear that he would be the coach, I was extremely happy. For me, the new season under him is like a new beginning in Leipzig."
