Federico Chiesa may not have had a great start to the new season with Juventus but that shouldn't take away from the player’s remarkable talent and promise.

Indeed, just six goals and assists in his opening 16 games for the Old Lady hasn’t done much to dispel notions of some of Europe’s biggest clubs still being extremely interested in the winger.

Alongside the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, Bayern Munich have routinely been linked with a move for the Italy international.

However, unlike their Premier League rivals, a number of factors will likely rule out a move for Chiesa anytime soon from the Bavarian giants.

They don’t need another winger

There’s no doubt that Nagelsmann’s side could use further investment in January or the following summer transfer window, but it’s unlikely to come in the form of another winger.

That’s mostly because the club are already well stocked in that position and really have no need for a player like Chiesa.

Not only is Leroy Sane back to the kind of form that made him one of the Premier League’s best wingers, but Bayern can also call upon Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnaby - who are both having impressive seasons.

Add to that the fantastic promise Jamal Musiala offers on either wing when called upon and it’s fair to say Bayern have no real need for another winger anytime soon.

He’s far too expensive

While numerous reports are predicting that Chiesa could opt for another club rather than sign permanently for Juventus with great speed, few have actually suggested how the buying clubs in question will actually be able to afford the Italy international.

As his two-year loan deal draws to a close at the end of next season, the winger is currently valued at €57 million and could cost as much as €71m to sign in the coming transfer window.

Naturally, that figure will drop as we approach summer and a one-year deadline for Chiesa’s contract to expire, but that’s still likely to cost far more than Bayern would be willing to spend on a single player.
