Perhaps surprisingly, it is not Netherlands star Virgil van Dijk who is in the Top 10 but Scotland international left-back Andy Robertson who makes the grade. The former Hull and Dundee United player clocks in with a transfer valuation of €70.6m.

Both players, however, have seen marginal drops in their valuation, which is determined by an algorithm that calculates a player’s worth based upon hundreds of in-game data points as well as external factors such as age and length left on contract.

In second place is Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias, who has won widespread acclaim for his performances with the club since arriving from Benfica in 2020.

Alphonso Davies has dropped off the leading three players, with the Bayern Munich left-back having suffered from Covid in recent weeks. His valuation of €75.5m is lower than it previously had been.

Marquinhos and Joao Cancelo, in fifth and sixth, are one of two representatives in this list from their respective clubs.

Following them comes Joshua Kimmich, another player to have been hit by Covid issues this season, Achraf Hakimi and David Alaba.
