Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United is over, claims agent

Mino Raiola, the agent of Manchester United star Paul Pogba, has claimed that “it’s over” for the France international at the Old Trafford club.
Pogba’s future at the Red Devils has long hung in the balance. Despite his heroics with France at World Cup 2018, he is widely seen as a flop signing.
On several occasions, he has been linked with a move back to Juventus. Real Madrid have often been credited with a sporadic interest while Paris Saint-Germain have infrequently been linked with a move for the star.
Raiola seems to have confirmed that Pogba will depart imminently, although that could mean either January or the summer.
“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba in Manchester,” he told Tuttosport.
“It’s better to speak clearly, look ahead and not waste time. He has to change teams.
“His contract will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but I think the best solution for everyone is if there is a deal in the next market.

“Otherwise, Man Utd risk losing him on a free transfer given it’s not the player’s intention to extend his deal.”
The news comes only days after Pogba turned in arguably his most complete performance for United in months as they overcame West Ham 3-1 away from home at the weekend.
“I feel so much better, I felt I could go again, control the game, getting the ball,” Pogba told MUTV, referencing the fact that he has admitted he has struggled physically this season due to injuries and Covid-19.
“That’s what I like doing myself. That’s what I think is good for the team.
“I’m a team player. As long as the team wins, that’s the most important.
“I find myself good and we want to win. That’s why I came here and that’s why I want to be successful.”

The goal scored by Pogba in that encounter was his first in the Premier League this season and just his second in all competitions.
He will hope to be selected for United’s critical Champions League clash against RB Leipzig in Germany in midweek – a match that they must not lose if they are to progress to the last-16 of the competition.
Pogba’s only start in the Champions League to date, meanwhile, came in the 5-0 victory over the Bundesliga side at Old Trafford in October.
